I checked this out blindly, knowing nothing about the people behind it, and I ended up really digging it. It’s got a throwback hip-hop feel to it – simplistic and smooth. These are the kind of flows that seem to come of the tongue like “lmno”. Nothing flashy, and nothing that’s going to pop out of a corner, scream in your face, and demand your attention, but it is the perfect song for a relaxing summer afternoon. Can’t wait for those to come. For now, I stay stressed, but I’m keeping this jam in my pocket.

Here’s a new one from Bruno Mars, the singer on B.o.B’s hit “Nothin On You” from his upcoming EP, pictured above. At first, I wasn’t sure what to make of Bruno. I wasn’t sure if he’d be like a more pop, less rock version of Kevin Rudolf – good for some choruses every now and then but never really shining on his own. The more I learn about him, I think the Hawaiian/Puerto Rican singer/producer may have a lot more to offer. I’m gonna keep my ears open and give him a few more tries before making up my mind. Any thoughts

If you missed the last post, here’s the deal – rapper/producer Necro is filthy, and he’s been cooking up some new filth. Disgusting, violent, and pornographic. Whoever coined the term “harcore rap” was not anticipating this shit. If you get offended by anything, then Necro is not for you. He will offend you, then cut off your mom’s head, skull fuck it, and write a rap song about it over a grimy beat.
Like I said before, I can’t really get into Necro. His shit is too extreme. I lied. I’m into this it has an Amy Winehouse feel to it. His new LP Die! is out May 18th.

So I thought this song wasn’t going to leak tonight but it did. Honestly I do not really like this track but Drake likes to appeal to more then the usual fanbase which makes him unique. The beat is straight 808′s and Heartbreaks but eh. People say that Drake is going to take over J. Cole but seriously? Like I give the guy applaud for being multifacited but lyrically and rap wise J. Cole takes a dump on Drake. Looking at it as an R&B song it is good and sounds and will blow up but I don’t know I feel like his album is not going to live up to this unbearable hype. I guess it is because I am more a rap guy.
