The latest music and more with Note Noted
I’ve been crazy busy the last couple of weeks, from dealing with my move from Montreal to Vancouver, flying my cat, getting my wisdom teeth pulled and dealing with the moving company whom broke pretty much my all my furniture during cross country move has all being a big challenge. I hope you understand that my absence was not purposely. Anyways enough with my boring personal life.
We got some big acts dropping a whole gambit of genres in 2012. Edgy pop music seems to be taking front stage. Coco Morier definitely makes pop music, but it’s not your cookie-cutter, bubbly variety. Instead, she mixes a little post-punk grit in with the danceable, disco-y synths for a pop sound with some teeth. She just released her intro EP, Strangers May Kiss, with the Ingrid Label (Miike Snow, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn & John). This label knows it’s talent.
