Like Smoke – Amy Winehouse feat. Nas
“Like Smoke” is some crazy Ms. Cleo look into the future stuff. It’s hard to Imaging but this track was recorded in 2008. This was pre Wall Street and the global financial district occupation. Yet as you listen to Nas lyrics you can’t help imagine that they were inspired by these events. The song itself has a very retro soulful sound that we’ve all come to know and love from Amy.
It’s sad to announce a new track, that would normally make me very excited, from Amy Winehouse is posthumously released as a third album called Lioness: Hidden Treasures which is due in stores Dec. 5th.
Lioness will be a varied collection of previosuly unreleased tracks, alternate edits of existing classics as well as a few new unheard compositions from Amy herself. The new album is a collaboration of Amy’s producers Marc Ronson, Salaam Remi, friends and family.
