Holocene – Bon Iver
This new video from Bon Iver “Holocene” is about a little boys adventure through Iceland.Iceland is volcanically and geologically active country. The interior mainly consists of a plateau characterised by sand fields, mountains and glaciers, while many glacial rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands.
Sunflower – Lenny Kravitz Ft. Drake
Here we go with a team up that resembles a Marvel and DC match up. Not like that exists, but if it did musically then you’d have this team up.
Lenny Kravitz tag teaming it up with Drake. I don’t know what to say about this strange song. Usually I post
I’m A Goner – Matt & Kim, Soulja Boy, Andre W.K.
Ok here’s another match-up made in a effed up universe. No this isn’t a Girl Talk remix. This is a genuine song, party song that is. Converse is continuing their “3 Artists, 1 Song” marketing campaign and I
No One Believes Me – Kid Cudi
Kid Cudi breaks into the rock scene with this song. We all know he’s been itching to do so for a while now. Gillespie directed this somewhat dark and shaddy music video. I believe that this song is going to be on the soundtrack for the new remake movie “Fright Night”. Its seems to fill in the much needed
Your Pas Life as a Blast – Okkervil River
Here’s a slightly relaxing track by Okkervil River. It has all the pieces to make it an indie classic. Slow build up, a flute and a dreamy voice. I’m liking it very much.
Dirty Lakes – Let’s Buy Happiness
Here we go! Finally a new Let’s Buy Happiness track. I’ve been jonsing for something new since we’ve heard the sweet and beautiful ‘Fast Fast’ single ‘Dirty Lakes’. This is the groups third single. It will be released on 26th September.
Summer Song – Matt Duncan
What’s better than a song that comes from the 60′s?…A new song that sounds like it’s from the 60′s. Matt Duncan reminds me of Amy Winehouse because he’s got the style that makes you think he time travelled from the past. Even his sound production and composition sounds muffled and old, just as if it was sitting on a shelf for the past 40
Keep On Trying – Laterns on the Lake
I would go ahead and say that Lanterns on the Lake have done it again but this is the first time I hear of them. But apparently the are good at what they do. It’s actually very apparent. This new track “Keep on Trying” is from their new LP “Gracious Tide, Take Me Gome” which is dropping
Datebar – Com Truise
I’ve been craving some good 80′s music. And BAM here comes the teased bangs. Besides Chromeo (one of my fav Montreal natives) and Twin Shadow there hasn’t been to much neon or hyper color shirts around lately. But Com Truise steps up to the plate and delivers what would of been a club classic back in the 80′s. Either way this track has got me hyped.
Ghetto Dreams – Common feat. Nas
Alright Alright! This headline got my attention. New Common album, new track and Nas has a verse on it? Wow this has to be sick. Those were my exact thoughts as I stumbled across this post on Facebook from a friend (Todd). Here’s a new single/video from Common’s upcoming album due this fall.
