2011 is finally rolling and everyone is probably beginning to plan things like what festivals to attend and what gigs to see. I’m looking forward to Osheaga’s line-up.
After hearing that Magnetic Man is one of the top live acts to see I wanted to investigate. They are a dubstep project formed in 2007 and made up of pretty well established dubstep DJs Benga, Skream and Artwork. Their debut album Magnetic Man was released in October 2010 and went straight to number 1 in the UK dance chart. If you’re into dubstep then you should definitely already know about these guys, but no matter what genre you usually go for you are pretty much guaranteed a wicked time at a Magnetic Man gig. Having collaborated with John Legend and Katy B it is pretty safe to assume that you’ll be in good hands with these guys – they definitely know what they’re doing!
Perfect Stranger – Magnetic Man feat Katy B

Wolf Gang rocks, plain and simple. They have a great sound matched by great lyrics. This song will be off their upcoming album Suego Faults being released in May. I am already planning to add this to my skiing music playlist. Wolf Gang will be performing at the NME (New Musical Experience) Awards in the U.K on February 23.

New track from Katy Perry featuring the guy that everybody either loves to love or loves to hate, Kanyeezy! This joint is called “E.T.” and is off of Katy’s upcoming *Teenage Dream EP*. According to Complex, the video for this track has already been shot!
E.T. – Katy Perry ft. Kanye West

The last time we heard these 2 on a track together definitely did not disappoint! Well here they are again. This time for a joint off of Fashawn’s upcoming *Higher Learning Vol. 2* project, which will be dropping tomorrow.

Crave You – Flight Facilites
This does not need much fanfare, I’ll let the song do the talking (typing). Flight Facilities is a DJ duo from Australia that mash songs together and this song Crave You is their first original production feat a lovely lady named Giselle, whom looks like someone I know. Here’s the official video for the song.

Here’s Architecture in Helsinki’s first single in four years. Simple, upbeat, full of falsetto, and danceable. but suddenly, everything This song seems very uplifting, like I should go outside, skip down the street, and high-five strangers. But I will not do that, because I do not like to acknowledge strangers.
In large parts, Moment Bends is in dialogue with the dance floor, without being a slave to any particular rhythm. So, imagine a sound equal parts Italia ‘82, California ‘79, and Melbourne 2011, glued together with a dynamic bounce and a compelling romanticism.
Contact High – Architecture in Helenski
A few weeks ago, The Kills dropped the first single from their upcoming fourth full-length studio album, Blood Pressures. Here’s the accompanying music video for “Satellite”, which was apparently inspired by guitarist Jamie Hince’s fiancée Kate Moss, and features the duo driving around in a vintage Rolls-Royce, visiting an arcade, eating fish and chips, and just being incredibly stylish throughout.
