Some songs take on meaning as you listen to them more. Maybe you attach a song with a particular person, a time in your life, a feeling you’ve had or a fleeting moment captured perfectly by the sounds playing in the background. The point is, the song becomes more than a series of notes and you end up loving it for what it means to you – the life that you give it.

Here’s a full version of one of the songs most likely from Kid Cudi’s upcoming Man On The Moon II, set to drop on October 26th. I still don’t have much of an idea of what to expect from the second album as a whole. This one marches through more of Cudder’s stream of sometimes scattered thoughts and has that signature melodic sing-rap flow. I don’t really dislike anything Cudi does, but I’ve noticed that his recent work seems to be more polarizing, and I would expect the same split reaction to this song.

Here’s an in studio performance of Aloe Blacc’s upcoming album Good Things. You don’t get much music like this anymore. Aloe’s music comes across like that of an old soul – someone whose words have been stirring for years and come out with intentions deeper than a hit song, although he’s got that too with “I Need A Dollar“, which turned into a sensation after being used for HBO’s How To Make It In America.
