The latest music and more with Note Noted

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Samuel. Born and raised in NYC this pop-y crooner has what most new artists today lack; heart and soul. His debut single “I Heart NY”, written by Samuel and produced by super duo The Knocks, is like lemonade on a hot summer day. The record crackles like an old radio as the twinkling xylophone is paired with a thumping bass track and some serious love from the brass section. If Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” is the virus consider Samuel’s “I Heart NY” the antidote. The chorus, serving as Samuel’s introduction to the world, is catchy. As the music swells Samuel states with his oh so nonchalant New York swagger, “I was made to grow up and be famous, So I’m tying my best to stay shameless” and with music like this, he will be.
His full debut album Trains To Wanderland will be released later this year on Colombia/Startime. If you like the song you can get Samuel’s I Heart NY EP featuring two other (great) songs off the album.
