Dirt Nasties follow up to the ridiculously awesome “1980″ video is “Drugs on my mind” leaves me with some great visuals but is short of producing new material or a catchy hook like “1980″.But seriously, how can you follow up Alf’s cameo. Introducing Beardo, the trailer park hero. Interesting….seems like 1980 got nothing on 2010.
This video released on March 1st is incredible. Featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack. This is the beginning of something good. This album is turning out to be a masterpiece.
This makes me wet. Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek got me so hot from this song. Im about to have sex wuth my speakers.
Start the day off right! This video will put you in a great place! Enjoy!
Directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs. Produced by Shirley Moyers. The official video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky”. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “ machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs over the course of several months.
There is something rather charming about the simplicity of this video. The MTV generation in me says that I should be bored, but the coolness in me loves every second. Perhaps it’s because I often dance like this in my living room… You know what, go fuck yourself MTV! Also like The Cure feeling to it.
Sliimy is a French Indie Pop singer who received immediate fame following a 2008 cover of Britney Spears’ “Womanizer”. “Paint Your Face” is the title track from Sliimy’s debut LP which is available now on iTunes. “Wake Up” is an older video released in 2009, but definitely worth a look. For all of you SXSW attendee’s be sure to check out Sliimy on March 18th when he takes stage at the Aquarium. Very sweet!
Here’s my first Electro Monday post. Hold on cause here comes the eeelectroo. Computer Club a while ago his up-coming Nerd Secrets EP?. It will be released next week (9th of March). It will contain whooping six tracks, and one of those is the collab with Frankmusik. Imagine for yourself: Dirty & funky beats with one of the best male vocalist out there on top of that, sounds nice ey? Well, press play on the player right above and stop imagining so you can feel it instead!
As a bonus since Computer Club is in such a good mode, we can also present a edit he did on the classic song Don’t You Want Me by The Human League. Simple and brings out more brawl to this timeless track, oh I do like it!
Remember when we posted about Loo & Placido last time? For those who missed that post out, I suggest that you take the time and check it out and make sure to grab that ace mixtape!
Now for the news in form of two new mega mashes that truly are amazing. I cannot help to get totally nostalgic by their mash Californication, since it heavily relies on 2 Pacs & Dr Dre’s California. Trust me Dj’s, play that track out and it will get any dancefloor going in a matter of seconds. Together with Rolling For Cash, Groovy baslines and vocals mixed with pro techniques is what you get! never wrong in my book!
Euphorie is a brand new french band rising, bred out of funkster ghetto blasters and driving electro beats. Listening to their track ‘Bots Attack’ I find myself awkwardly headbanging to it homie style, and I can only imagine the even greater hugeness of it when sqeezing the juices out of it to the max and raise the bpm in the club.
When it comes to the Japanese electro scene, our friends over at Too Many Sebastians are always ahead of us. Bringing us news in form of a new original from wonder 80kidz on a Sunday morning just like that. Altough one member shorter now, 80kidz are still top of their game. “Voice” is is taken from their brand new EP, only available in Japan so far. As we wait for it to hit beatport and Itunes over here, this epic electric guitar breakdown is more than enough to keep me satisfied!
